World Debut Weekend

OKC Memorial Marathon Expo attendees will be the first in the world to demo VERT's G-VERT Run App Feature

LAUDERDALE, FL USA TODAY SPORTS Active Alliance, a network of the finest full and half marathons across America, unveils VERT’s G-VERT Run app feature at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon Health & Fitness Expo taking place on April 28th and 29th. G-VERT Run will be VERT’s latest performance based app feature and VERT will be presenting the first-ever demonstrations of the company’s new run efficiency tracker as part of the USA Today Sports Active Alliance introduction of its Innovation Zone.

Visitors to the USA TODAY SPORTS ACTIVE ALLIANCE’S Innovation Zone booth, found in Exhibit Hall 3 will be able to test G-VERT Run feature on a Trueform Runner non-motorized treadmill. The G-VERT Run feature will be able to track the impact each individual runner’s movement style has on his or her body.

“So, few athletes really know the impact their running styles have on the structure of their bodies,” said David Gil, Performance Lab Director for VERT. “The purpose of the G-VERT run app feature is to move beyond looking at the number of steps a runner took by looking into the quality of those steps and providing real-time information to enable athletes to run more efficiently,” added Gil, who will be in attendance at the event.

Bruce Revman, Commissioner of the USA Today Sports Active Alliance, tapped G-VERT for their first Innovation Zone after meeting with them at the Harvard Innovation Labs. “The goal of the Alliance and the Innovation Zone, is to provide emerging companies and athletes an opportunity to meet and test out the next step in industry performance technologies, and we see a lot of value for the running community with VERT,” said Revman.

G-VERT Run app feature will show a runner’s statistics such as average g-force per impact, total energy and stress, all from the smallest wearable on the market.  The app also has GPS capabilities to track distance, speed and pace, with all session data transferring to the users account to track progress over time.
